The terms and conditions governing your use of the Parrot CTFs Events training platform.

Effective date: March 7, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Parrot CTFs Events platform at lorikeetsecurity.com/parrot-ctfs (the "Platform"), operated by Lorikeet Security ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Platform Description

Parrot CTFs Events is a cybersecurity training platform that provides:

  • Vulnerable lab machines and environments for hands-on practice
  • Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges across multiple categories
  • Guided learning paths and courses
  • Certification programs and exams
  • Competitive events and team-based challenges
  • Community features including leaderboards and user profiles

Access to certain features requires a registered account, and some features may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase.

3. Account Registration

To access the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

Organization Accounts

Organizations may register for team access. The organization administrator is responsible for managing user access and ensuring all users under the organization comply with these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

The Platform provides intentionally vulnerable environments for educational purposes. You agree to:

  • Only attack, exploit, or test systems and machines provided within the Platform
  • Never attempt to attack the Platform infrastructure itself, other users, or any systems outside the designated lab environments
  • Not use knowledge or tools gained from the Platform to conduct unauthorized hacking or illegal activities
  • Not share, distribute, or publish solutions, flags, or writeups without express permission
  • Not attempt to disrupt the Platform or degrade the experience for other users
  • Not use automated tools to scrape content, brute-force flags, or abuse Platform resources
  • Not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or gain unfair advantages
  • Not share your VPN credentials or lab access with unauthorized individuals

Violation of the acceptable use policy may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban, at our sole discretion.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the Platform require a paid subscription. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following:

  • Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) unless cancelled
  • You authorize us to charge the payment method on file for all applicable fees
  • Prices may change with reasonable notice; existing subscriptions will be honored at their current rate until renewal
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period

Refunds

Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the Platform, please contact us within 14 days of purchase. We do not provide refunds for partial use of a subscription period.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including but not limited to lab machines, challenges, course materials, writeups, videos, graphics, and software, is the intellectual property of Lorikeet Security or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display any Platform content without our prior written consent. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform content for personal educational purposes only.

7. User Content

You may submit content to the Platform, including profile information, writeups, comments, and team names. By submitting content, you:

  • Warrant that you own or have the right to submit such content
  • Grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Platform
  • Agree not to submit content that is offensive, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise violates applicable laws

We reserve the right to remove any user content that violates these Terms without notice.

8. Events and Competitions

The Platform may host CTF events, competitions, and challenges. Participation is subject to any additional rules posted for each event. We reserve the right to disqualify participants who engage in unsportsmanlike conduct, cheating, or collusion. Prize distribution, if applicable, is at our sole discretion.

9. Certifications

Certifications earned through the Platform are issued by Lorikeet Security and represent completion of specific training requirements at a point in time. Certifications may not be transferred, and we reserve the right to revoke certifications if we discover that they were obtained through cheating or fraud.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Lab environments may occasionally experience downtime or technical issues.

We make no guarantees regarding employment outcomes, career advancement, or specific skill levels as a result of using the Platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lorikeet Security shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Platform.

Our total liability for any claims related to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lorikeet Security, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or any illegal activities conducted using knowledge or tools obtained from the Platform.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration.
